Max launches Beatport Presents Remix Challenge for House of the Dragon with $10,000 grand prize

Producers race to remix the HBO original “House of THe Dragon” theme song for A chance to win $10k.

Submissions are now open Nationwide for HBO Max and Beatport’s “House of the Dragon” remix contest, with entries closing on May 29th, 2024. Teaming up with Loopcloud and LabelRadar, this remix contest will not only allow artists to showcase their talent and shine, but mass prizes and giveaways are on the table as well. This could be a great way to gain recognition in the ever-emerging electronic dance music industry.

The prequel to the highly-favorited Game of Thrones television series is set in the world of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire novels. Including the history of House Targaryen, the events leading up to the Dance of the Dragons take place almost 200 years before the events in Game of Thrones. In this new universe, the Blacks and Greens are fighting for the Iron Throne, causing a stir in the Seven Kingdoms.

Contestants must have a LabelRadar account in order to submit their remix, which is completely free. All submissions will only be considered through LabelRadar and will be judged by HBO cast members from House Of The Dragon, Beatport, and Ed Banger Records. Anyone who enters will also get a free month of Loopcloud with the code “DRAGON”.

Once the judges make their selections, ten lucky artists will move to the final round. Creativity and skill will take a massive part in picking the final winners in addition to how close the remix strikes a resemblance to the original by Ramin Djawadi.

The winning prizes include an official release on WaterTower Music, $10,000, two months of Beatport Pro or Beatsource Pro, 12 months of Beatport Studio, and 100 LabelRadar credits. To provide a substantial opportunity to all, there will be a total of six winners. Two will win all prizes previously mentioned, while four runner-ups will receive limited prizes. Contestants must download the stems on Loopcloud and submit their remix before 11:59 pm on May 29th for a chance to win.

Winners can expect to see their submissions on the Contest Webpage, Beatportal, Beatport, LabelRadar, Loopcloud, or HBO’s verified socials around June 14th, 2024. It is important to note that all contestants must respond to the winning draw within two days, be 18 or older, pass a background check, grant the right to HBO for a royalty-free right to distribute, and more to be granted all prizes.
