Louis The Child Members Share Story of Meeting at Madeon Show Ahead of Collab

To celebrate their upcoming collaboration, Louis The Child share memories with Madeon from over a decade ago.

Robby Hauldren and Frederic J. Kennett of Louis The Child met at a Madeon show in Chicago in 2012 and have been inseparable since. In honor of their collaboration with Madeon, the duo revealed six moments with the producer that have stayed in their memories. From their first photo together to old tour content, the artists had reminisced with fans on their “full circle moment.”

The first picture captured a young Hauldren at the rail of the show where Louis The Child had met. Kennett had been photographed behind him with half of his body being visible. They expressed their gratitude for Madeon as he had been the first artist to take them on tour in the United States and Europe.

The next photo shows a young Louis The Child opening for Madeon at Webster Hall in New York followed by a video of the three playing with the stage setup during soundcheck. They then posted a picture of the three and The M Machine on stage at the last stop of their tour together.

About a year later, Madeon dropped their remix of “Compass” by Zella Day at one of his shows. A video taken from the stage shows the crowd dancing to the drop as a red light shines over them. The final throwback was a picture of Madeon holding a McDonald’s receipt as a callback to their post-show food stops.

Despite a rich history together, Louis The Child and Madeon have not officially collaborated until now. They have been teasing the song for over a month and included it in sets. The tropical house track has created a buzz in both fan bases.

“Believe It” with Madeon is being released on May 24 and is available to pre-save now. Listen to Louis The Child’s latest string of releases on Spotify.
