Desert Hearts announces underground lineup for annual festival at new Arizona location

Desert Hearts Festival 2024 heads to Flagstaff, AZ with artists like Walker & Royce, VNSSA, Rinzen, and more.

This summer, Desert Hearts Festival will go east to Flagstaff, AZ for their 2024 festival at Playa Ponderosa, after hosting gatherings in California. Set for July 4-8, the collective’s annual celebration features an underground lineup of over 40 techno tastemakers and house icons.

Desert Hearts Festival began as an opportunity for the community to camp out and catch all the music on just one stage. The DIY festival started in Southern California at Los Coyotes Indian Reservation, before moving to Lake Perris in 2022. However, after the festival moved to the historic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum for its 2023 event, its future remained unclear

According to Desert Hearts Co-Founder Mikey Lion, the festival’s theme of “One Stage, One Vibe” will return this year, as the record label’s friends and family provide 72-hours of straight electronic music programming. Those returning to the Desert Hearts Festival will be delighted to see the return of lineup favorites like Walker & Royce, VNSSA, and Doc Martin.

The jam-packed lineup, which opts out of headliners, is organized alphabetically and includes world class talent from artists like Rinzen, Ardalan, and Lisbona Sisters. Every year, the festival features fresh talent that represent the next generation of house and techno stars. Selectors for that segment of the festival include Nala, SHADED, Lubelski, and Mary Droppinz.

Desert Hearts Festival 2024 is sure to be a blast, with a jam-packed lineup of music, art, and community. Playa Ponderosa is a private property nestled in the Coconino National Forest, with 75 acres of natural beauty and pine trees.
