Eli Brown Sells Out NYC Pop Up Rave in Under One Minute
Eli Brown has taken over the airwaves and established dominance in the New York City techno scene last weekend.
Eli Brown has been at the height of the techno scene for a while now, and over this past weekend Brown did not come to play games. Selling out his Brooklyn pop-up hosted by Renegade NYC and Sequel Sound at 99 Scott in less than a minute, he simultaneously crashed the ticketing app Resident Advisor. Brown also sold out his nighttime show at Avant Gardner in a matter of days, spending a riveting 24 hours in New York City.
Eli Brown is most known for his innovative way of typing (where he only capitalizes the letters that are found within his name) and massive hits such as “Diamonds On My Mind,” “Be The One,” “When I Push,” “Escape,” and “Love Is Free.” Brown is hot off the release of his new single ‘Gasoline,’ released to the masses on March 29th. ‘Gasoline’ featuring Lilly Palmer released under Factory 93 was a mega-jam at the most recent Miami Music Week.
Taking his success in stride, Eli Brown hosted a pop-up with Renegade NYC and Sequel Sound. Playing out of a box truck in a futuristic silver track jacket – techno’s bad boy of the moment ripped over a 2-hour set at the Brooklyn warehouse venue, 99 Scott. Following the success of the pop-up, Brown hustled over to Avant Gardner’s Great Hall for his 1:30 AM – close set.
Later at the Great Hall, Brown put on an entirely new show than his earlier set. Both sets included all of his bangers that have led him to become one of the highest-streamed techno artists globally with an intensity not typically in the music industry. Going from underground to a household name in a matter of years is a feat only a few artists can achieve in their careers.
To add insult to injury for his competition, Eli Brown has over 3 million monthly listeners and 245 million cumulative streams across streaming platforms thanks to his cult-like following (guilty). Not only is he seeing success in his streaming numbers and growing fanbase, but he has also gained support from industry legends such as Carl Cox, Calvin Harris, and Adam Beyer.
Eli Brown is self-taught and somewhat of a natural who can balance his instinct for beat with his captivating stage presence that exudes pure and unwavering crowd control. Still, in his first decade of artistry, Eli Brown is set to become an artist to be reckoned with over the next few years as he continues to keep up the fast-paced energy of a junior artist just getting their footing in the industry.
