EDM Community Mourns Loss of Morgan Ehrenbeit Following Tragic Accident After Excision Show
On March 21, Morgan Ehrenbeit, Michael Rosenbaum, and Luke Stempuzis’ rideshare had been In an accident with another vehicle following an Excision show.
The three had been driving home from the Excision tour stop in Buffalo, New York when their rideshare was struck by another vehicle moving at a high rate of speed. The other car’s driver had been on their phone when they went through a red light, causing a collision. According to authorities, the driver had not provided insurance or a license and was not driving with headlights.
Their friend Nicole had posted a video about the fatal accident, saying that the group “had a perfect night together.” Tragically, Ehrenbeit had passed away following the car accident. Nicole also confirmed that Rosenbaum is recovering from the injuries he had sustained and that Stempuzis is in critical condition in the ICU.
Ehreinbeit’s obituary states, “Her friends and family will remember Morgan for her smile, her sense of humor, and her unwavering commitment to those she loved.” In the heartbreaking video following the accident, Nic reminded the electronic dance music community of the importance of unity. She later described Ehrenbeit as “smart, funny, quick-witted, and overall bubbly.”
The three passengers worked at the same restaurant in Ohio and have been remembered fondly by coworkers. People from around the world commented on Nicole’s video to give support and condolences. Fans of Excision shared the video on social media, bringing in even more love from the community.
The car accident followed Excision’s show at Buffalo RiverWorks. The performance had been a part of his Nexus Tour.
Fundraisers for both Rosenbaum and Stempuzis have been created to support the individuals and their families during this time. Updates about Stempuzis’ recovery have been posted on social media platforms as he continues to heal.
