Electric Forest to Plant Memorial Trees for Loved Ones of Festival Attendees
Electric Forest pours love back into Sherwood Forest with a sustainable nature and memorial project: Electric Forest Memorial Trees.
The renowned festival Electric Forest is known for its unique experiences that nourish eternal and fulfilling memories to last a lifetime. Starting this 2024 year, the festival has provided festival goers an everlasting way to eternalize a loved one within the woods of Sherwood Forest.
The special program invites all festival-goers to purchase the add-on package, regardless of the intention being dedicated towards a loved one who has crossed the physical realm, a festival crew deserving to be celebrated, or even wanting to show love towards a life-changing moment during the Electric Forest experience.
The price of $900 to purchase an Electric Forest Memorial Tree includes a hand-painted memorial personalization that is personalized and placed at each Memorial Tree to remain with the tree year-round, eternally. Furthermore, the festival reassures the cost of each tree will be towards the expert care given for two years as the tree matures. This includes plating, staking, fertilizing, mulching, and watering.
Electric Forest reassures fans on their website that the festival’s designated arborist and local experts will govern the longevity of the memorial using sustainable practices that contribute to the ongoing health of Sherwood Forest. This includes accepting a limited number of trees and exclusively planting native trees that allow the Memorial to establish itself and thrive under local conditions. This includes native trees such as Dawn Redwood, Eastern Larch, Linden, and Red Maple trees.
Some Instagram fans have expressed concern over the price tag of the memorial tree cost. In contrast, others show excitement and understanding towards the special project due to the extensive twenty-four-month care. Forest family members such as @grizlubber express on Instagram how special this program is to celebrate her sister’s spirit and hopefully make her memorial tree into a giving tree (if you know, you know).
More information regarding the details of the sustainable project can be found on the official Electric Forest website.
