Imagine Music Festival Announces 2024 Hiatus

Georgia’s Imagine Music Festival has confirmed that they are taking a pause in 2024 to improve the experience for future attendees.

Since 2014, Imagine Festival has brought top talent in the electronic dance music scene to Georgia for a memorable experience that kept fans in the area and beyond coming back. In recent weeks, though, fans have begun to wonder whether the festival will be returning for 2024 as ticket sales had not begun on their usual yearly schedule. Now, Imagine has made it official, posting on their website that the festival will be “taking a pause in 2024 to improve on your experience” and “build an even better Imagine Festival.”

The post on Imagine Festival’s website did not provide any specifics as to the reason behind the pause. While the post seems to indicate that they are planning on future editions of the festival beyond 2024, it is unclear whether it may return at its 2022-2023 venue Kingston Downs, Atlanta Motor Speedway, or elsewhere.

Georgia has previously had trouble keeping electronic music festivals running in the past decade or so. TomorrowWorld, a spin-off of the iconic Tomorrowland, had three editions from 2013 to 2015 before being discontinued due to money issues. CounterPoint also saw its last festival in 2015, while Shaky Beats Festival never returned after COVID put a stop to its 2020 edition.

Hopefully for electronic dance music fans in Georgia and surrounding states, Imagine will find a way to make a comeback in 2025. Despite all its issues, the production and talent have always received high praise. Its 2023 edition featured its best lineup yet that included Dillon Francis B2B Knock2, Dom Dolla, John Summit, NGHTMRE B2B Diesel, Rezz, Slander, Subtronics B2B Ganja White Knight, and a whole lot more.

As Imaginers cross their fingers for next year, reminisce on the tremendous tunes of last year below!

Born and raised in Portland, Oregon, I've always had a passion for writing and was introduced to the EDM scene in 2017. Since then, I've attended countless shows and several major festivals including Tomorrowland, EDC Las Vegas, Decadence CO, Hard Summer, and Shambhala. Some of my favorite artists are Seven Lions, Zeds Dead, NGHTMRE, Trivecta, and Jason Ross.
