5,000 People Participate in Protest Rave ‘House Against Hate’ Outside of UK Prime Minister’s Home
‘House Against Hate’ project leader Jeremy Corbyn has raised funds for Medical Aid For Palestinians (MAP) by hosting a protest rave.
The people of London stand with social justice activist, Jeremy Corbyn, to protest the systemic racism taking place in United Kingdom society through his project ‘House Against Hate’. Simultaneously, the organization aims to raise funds for Medical Aid For Palestinians (MAP), which provides medical assistance to Palestinians who require resources. The protest opposes the various forms of discrimination and intolerance currently taking place in the United Kingdom, including racism, xenophobia, transphobia, and anti-immigrant sentiments.
With the help of R3 Soundsystem, Black Artist Database, and House Against Hate, over 5,000 people join Corbyn to gather at 10 Downing Street to participate in a protest rave outside the Prime Minister’s home. Those supporting the protest with a DJ set include Hot Chip, NIKS, Jamz Supernova, Yazmin Lacey, Leon Vynehall, Shanti Celeste, and Heléna Star.
After a passionate speech from Jeremy Corbyn, police abruptly enter the event intending to shut it down. In the aftermath of the protest, Stand Up To Racism UK made a statement reading “5,000 took to the streets in London, across the march and rally outside the Home Office, which then made its way past Parliament and past New Scotland Yard to highlight the ongoing fight for justice against police racism and violence. [HOUSE AGAINST HATE] sent a fierce message against the racist division and hate being pushed by this government and seized upon by fascists and the far right.”.
The ‘House Against Hate’ movement receives relentless support from multiple artists and industry icons such as Katharine Hamnett, Jonny Woo, Bimi Bon-Boulash, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Blessed Madonna, Becky Hill, and 300 other public figures.
Jeremy Corbyn is a respected social justice activist who organizes community conferences and rallies to create awareness around multiple social issues, including calling for a ceasefire in Gaza, outlining challenges and solutions for London residents, and saving London’s live music venues.
