Skyline Festival Lights Up Los Angeles For It’s Third Edition

Chris Lake, Hot Since 82, Chris Stussy, Pawsa, Marco Carola, and more brought house music to the heart of LA.

This past edition of Skyline saw some of the biggest artists in the world come together in Los Angeles. Over a thrilling weekend, the third installment of the Skyline Music Festival lived up to expectations. The Insomniac House and Techno Festival featured top-tier underground artists, particularly outstanding Techno producers hailing from Europe.

Introducing the Arts district between the West and East stages highlighted the local talent dominating the Los Angeles warehouse scene. Running from February 24 to 25, the event was orchestrated by Daytrip and Factory 93, with Grand Park serving as the venue, offering ample space for lively activities. Downtown LA’s Gloria Molina Grand Park was overrun by attendees, with the iconic East and West Side stages spanning four blocks. Additionally, the Art districts provided a platform for discovering captivating art, people, and music.

This year, the event featured increased art installations, food choices, and restroom facilities. The production embraced a more minimalist approach, dialing down visuals while amplifying the overall atmosphere. Each stage dazzled with lights and pyrotechnics, enhancing every beat drop with electrifying energy. The East Stage claimed the honor for best stage design, featuring massive panels adorned with mesmerizing lighting patterns that kept the crowd energized.

Day one set the bar high with Chris Lake, Camelphat, Hot Since 82, Juliet Mendoza, and Adam Ten. All the while, the West Stage hosted legends like Marco Carola, Pawsa, Rossi, Chris Stussy, and many more. Both stages new the assignment and delivered what the people wanted, old-school vs new school rave vibes.

Vintage Culture | Skyline 2024

Last but not least, Sunday combined techno and house for an eclectic day full of progressive beats and a ton of pyro to go around. Techno stars consisted of Indira Paganotto, Deborah De Luca, Nico Moreno, and Klangkuenstler. The East Stage finished off with LP Giobbi, Vintage Culture, and a hybrid set from the man himself, Carl Cox. The overall talent pool throughout the weekend was just what LA needed to have a fun-filled weekend.

Finally, as Skyline checks off another year in its book, Los Angeles hopes it will return in an even bigger way next year.

My name is Sebastian Medina and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Ever since I could remember, I have always been in love with dance music. I appreciate all genres and sub-genres but I definitely gravitate towards house and techno. Being from LA I was blessed with an amazing nightlife full of different artists coming in and out of town throughout the years. Some of my favorite artists include Seth Troxler, Michael Bibi, Mr.Carmack, PAWSA, and Folamour.
