Renowned DJ and producer, Kerri Chandler, has released 73 tracks for download as a tribute to his late father.
Kerri Chandler has released 73 tracks on Bandcamp in honor of their late father. Kerri’s father, Joseph E. Chandler had both influenced and paved a path forward in the EDM space for his son. In the 70s and 80s, Joseph E. Chandler had solidified himself as a DJ and had shown Kerri what it means to be an artist.
In his release of 73 tracks, Kerri Chandler has fittingly titled the package ‘Dad Giveaway.’ The 73 tracks represent what would have been his late father’s 73rd birthday. Paying homage in this manner has poignantly revealed the lasting impact his father had on him.
Joseph Chandler had exposed Kerri to jazz and soul in his earlier age as a rising musician. Kerri had also attended shows with his father at a young age, giving him an acute idea of what it took to join the creative field. Later in his life, Kerri had infused these elements of soul and jazz along with the lessons he learned from his father into his own style.
The New Jersey native went on to be a founder of the record label Madhouse Records. Not only had Kerri carried on his father’s legacy as a DJ/musician, but also used his father’s wisdom to ascend high in his career. Kerri Chandler has also put together the record labels MadTech Records and Kaoz Theory, working with the likes of Seth Troxler, The Martinez Brothers, Jamie Jones and more.
Making his mark on the music scene, Kerri Chandler has played worldwide on many stages and clubs. Kerri has graced crowds at DC10, Barbarellas, District 8, and many more clubs. His stardom has stood the test of time, as he lines up for even more shows in the future, like Drumsheds.
Chandler has aggregated a collection of songs that dates back to the 90s. He has been refining his craft for decades and it seems there is still much more to come.
