Tinlicker has dropped his Third LP ‘Cold Enough For Snow’ along with the announcement of North American tour to accompany Europe tour dates.
The Dutch electronic music group Tinlicker has dropped their third studio album, ‘Cold Enough for Snow,’ along with the announcement of more tour dates. The LP features a talented list of artists such as Julia Church, Brain Molko, Metropole Orkest, Tom Smith, Nathan Nicolson, and Cloves.
The highly anticipated album contains 13 tracks, with the focus track ‘Glasshouse,’ featuring Julia Church. The duo Micha Heyboer and Jordi van Achtoven released their album just before setting off for the European leg of their tour. With the news of the new album release, the pair announced more dates unveiling a separate North American Album Tour in Fall 2024.
The album reinforces Tinlicker’s signature melodic and danceable sound, which is infused with indie guitar riffs. The album has touching and passionate lyrics ‘so that hearts, minds, and feet can only blissfully surrender.’ One of the hottest tracks on the album is, ‘Glasshouse’ which is a collaboration track with Julia Church and is her second collaboration on the album – the other track is titled ‘Slipstream.’ The track features stunning vocals supporting lyrics that affirm faith in love. The melodic piano and euphoric beats allow for an uplifting yet thought-provoking satisfaction when listening to the song.
‘Glasshouse is written about having a recurring dream about someone you love’ Julia Church says when commenting on the track. She continues, ‘How their memory flashes in and out of your world in the same way they did – and no matter where they are, continuing to live in a way that would make them proud.
The album also includes the powerful voice of Nathan Nicolson, whose vocals ride the woodwind melodies of the songs, ‘Strawberry,’ ‘Crossroads’ and ‘Staring Down Sunset.’ The vocals of artists Tom Smith and Circa Waves – create a harmonious undertone with the songs ‘This Life’ and ‘Nothing To Lose.’ Meanwhile, the song ‘Nowhere To Go’ with Brian Molko generates a trancey setting that differs from other tracks on the album.
Tinlicker’s 2024 EU and North American Tours kick off on February 27th in Poland. The group returns to the UK making stops in London, Bristol, and Belfast. The EU dates include special shows in the Netherlands, Paris, Milan, Dublin, Cologne, and Hamburg. Many of these cities will be the first time the duo will be performing and with their newly announced American Tour, they will also be touring cities like New York, Los Angeles, Detroit, Nashville, Houston, Toronto, and Montreal.
