Diplo, Sia, and Labyrinth Perform First Live Performance as LSD Supergroup in Paris
LSD performs for the first time at Cartier’s 100th Anniversary Event in Paris.
Cartier celebrated the Trinity’s lasting legacy on its 100th anniversary by unveiling new jewelry designs at the flagship store in Paris. Additionally, a lavish soirĂ©e at the Petit Palais brought together some of the most prominent figures in fashion and entertainment to mark the milestone. Among the several notable people at the event was none other than the electronic supergroup LSD. LSD is a supergroup comprised of British musician and rapper Labrinth, Australian singer-songwriter Sia, and American music producer Diplo.
Furthermore, LSD took the stage at the Cartier party and made their first official appearance as a group, nearly six years after starting the project. During the performance, the group performed songs like “Genius” and “Thunderclouds” while Sia also sang her original record, “Cheap Thrills”.
In an Instagram post shortly after the event, Diplo gave a positive and hopeful update about the group’s future. He wrote “If you’re ready for new LSD music drop an Olive in the comments because olive you all. and yes we wrote a new album that now I gotta kinda finish with the team when they got time.” Hopefully, this means that we’ll be seeing a new LSD project before the summer season kicks off.
LSD has released six singles, including a remix of their song “Genius,” all featured on their eponymous debut album released on April 12, 2019. Since the release of their album, the group has stayed quiet about any upcoming releases or projects. The hiatus from music releases still doesn’t stop them from performing their songs live. The Lost Frequencies “Thunderclouds” remix is still one of Diplo’s go-to tracks in almost all his sets.
Lastly, be sure to stay up-to-date with LSD on their individual socials for any future announcements regarding new projects and live shows.
