Alesso Makes History with First-Ever Red Rocks Debut
Swedish superstar DJ Alesso has announced his first-ever Colorado headline show at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater.
The legendary Alesso has played countless headline shows all over the globe in his roughly 14 years of DJing, but one place has never hosted one: the state of Colorado. But now, the long wait for Colorado house heads is nearly over. Alesso has announced a headline show at the state’s crown jewel of music venues, Red Rocks Amphitheater, on April 11th 2024.
Put on by Live Nation, the show will also feature two exciting names in direct support. Young up-and-coming American producer Surf Mesa will be on the decks before Detroit native and veteran house DJ MK (Marc Kinchen) makes his first ever appearance at Red Rocks and gets the crowd ready for Alesso to take the stage. Both Surf Mesa and MK hopped in the comments of Alesso’s announcement post to express their excitement for the huge opportunity.
Red Rocks has become something of a pilgrimage site for many electronic music fans whose favorite DJs play the breathtaking venue almost yearly. Huge names like Skrillex, Flume, Porter Robinson, Seven Lions, Alison Wonderland, The Chainsmokers, Gryffin, Dom Dolla, and G Jones have made the journey to Red Rocks in recent years. Anjunadeep recently became the first record label to sell out a show at the amphitheater, demonstrating the strong connection between Red Rocks and electronic music.
The stunning views and incredible acoustics at Red Rocks will surely make for an unforgettable set for Alesso as it has for so many great artists before him. Fans from Colorado and the surrounding area hope that the epic venue convinces Alesso to return for many more headline shows in the future.
