Electric Forest Festival Grounds Covered in Snow During Frigid Michigan Winter
It has been cold cold cold in the States the last few days and the Electric Forest grounds are no exception.
Electric Forest, one of the elite music festivals in the United States hosted in Michigan is nearly unrecognizable after snow has been dumped on the grounds after a winter storm this week. The already mystical forest seems even more enchanting after inches of snow, turning it into a winter wonderland.
The festival is known for its fully immersive experience, diverse music lineup, and the unique setting of the stunning Sherwood Forest in Rothbury, Michigan. The unofficial motto of the renowned festival is “the forest provides,” and this week it is providing the perfect setting for snow angels and snowmen.
Twitter user, Andy shared on the platform a chilling photo of the Sherwood Forest covered in a layer of snow this week. From the entrance to the festival grounds to one of the bars and sculptures that live in the forest year-round, this exciting and enchanting land remains calm and quiet under snowfall. Quite contrary to its reputation over the summer months where one weekend a year it comes alive.
In the tweet, Andy questions how fun a winter Electric Forest would be with fellow commentators saying to build an “ice dome of bass,” and others hyping up this. Could a winter edition happen in these woods in the future? Only time will tell!
Today, Electric Forest posted on Twitter, “153 days until we’re back in The Forest, which means you have time to…” where they followed with listening to different artists’ tracks, such as LP Giobbi, Dom Dolla, and Knock 2. The lineup was released a few weeks back, festivalgoers are getting excited to return to the somewhat mythical forest and be one with the trees and the beats.
