NASA to Host After-Hours Techno Party at Kennedy Space Center with Astronaut Meet-N-Greet
NASA has introduced the rare opportunity to Party with astronauts at the Kennedy Space Center.
On February 2, 2024, NASA plans to bring cosmic energies down to earth through the power of techno music. Debuting a new event at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida named ‘Kennedy Under the Stars‘, the event will open The Space Visitor Complex at night, featuring different “dazzling twists.”
This forthcoming NASA techno extravaganza will be an intergalactic party accompanied by Cosmic Glow miniature golf under neon lighting and chalk art curated by local artists. With live DJs performing for guests, the after-hours techno rave will transport guests into the cosmic universe as they dance under the night sky. Performers for the event have not yet been announced.
Alongside the various attractions, veteran NASA astronauts Nicole Scott and Chris Ferguson will be in attendance with the extraordinary opportunity to meet the individuals. Partying with individuals who have explored our galaxy is a rare opportunity that very few will ever experience.
While the event is after-hours, most of the venue‘s attractions will be available for guests. Different areas, like the SpaceX Falcon 9 booster and Spaceport KSC, will remain open with quicker wait times than regular operating hours. The Space Center Bus Tour and Apollo/Saturn V Center will not be operational during the event.
This isn’t the first event by the center, as they just wrapped up a ‘Holidays in Space’ event, which decked out the visitor complex in various holiday lights. As for this upcoming event, the complex’s restaurants and retail stores will be open, offering guests signature cocktails at different bars for an additional charge. The event is open to those of any age at $65 (plus tax) and has discounts on food and retail items for annual pass holders.
Guests are encouraged to dress in space-themed outfits for the rave but are prohibited from wearing masks that cover up the face or any props resembling weapons. Tickets are now available for purchase for the February debut of ‘Kennedy Under the Stars.’
