Bassnectar Shares Photos from Packed Two-Night New Year’s Eve Run in NYC

Bassnectar, the controversial Dubstep Producer/DJ has shared content from his two-night New Year’s Eve Run in NYC.

Bassnectar has completed his two-night New Year’s Eve show run in New York City and took to Instagram to share pictures of the nights. The controversial dubstep producer and DJ who has been riddled with grooming allegations the past few years put on a show at New York City’s Palladium Times Square venue.

Over the past few years, Bassnectar has been in the press for multiple allegations against the artist for grooming underage fans. However, his fan base still rides for this talented yet morally questionable DJ. He has been able to have a show in Las Vegas and more recently in NYC that is part of his ironically named ‘A New Horizon’ Tour.

The New York City venue, Palladium Times Square was in the heart of a New York New Year’s Eve, with the ball drop happening just blocks away. The Palladium Times Square is an 18+ venue, and his show was also 18+ for entry.

This past year, Bassnectar released a new album titled, “The Golden Rule.” The actual Golden Rule by definition is to treat others how you would like to be treated. With a tour named “A New Horizon,” and an album with that title, it could be safe to assume that Bassnectar is gearing up for a larger comeback, however, it is uncertain if this would be accepted by the majority of the EDM community.

There was also speculation earlier this year that GR!Z’s hiatus from touring and creating music will create an opening for Bassnectar’s entrance back into the forefront of the dubstep scene.

At this time, it’s unclear what Bassnectar’s next move will be, as we aren’t aware of any forthcoming shows on the docket yet for 2024. The first to know about any upcoming Bassnectar events would be members of the artist’s members-only online platform, The Other Side.

Hey! I'm Shiv! Music is the greatest part of my life, I remember discovering dubstep when I was 15/16 and my entire life was altered - robot noises?? I needed MORE! Now, I live in NYC and have seen over 60 artists of all genres; my favorites being Odesza, Subtronics, Rezz, Griz, Zeds Dead, John Summit and Kaskade. I am an enjoyer of music and will try everything once, I do not discriminate - there is beauty in all genres (minus country). You can usually find me in a warehouse at 4AM because I am nocturnal and will quite literally never say no to a show.

What's your reaction?
