ShÈn Presents

A label steeped in cultural appreciation that feels straight out of a mystical wonderland, SHÈN has had a particularly spectacular year.  From Cristoph to Vintage Culture to Paige, 2023 definitely saw a steady influx of talent boasting otherworldly releases on SHÈN.  Moreover, Franky Wah landed his first Ibiza residency at no more perfect place than Club Chinois, clearly elevating the label to new heights.

Experts Only

From successfully executing a total label rebrand in a matter of months, to releasing consecutive Beatport chart-toppers, there’s truly nothing John Summit can’t do!  Not to mention, the Experts Only team recently pulled off the spectacle of the year playing to a packed-out BMO Stadium in LA.  If these recent feats are any indicator of what’s ahead, then EO‘s future’s looking mighty fine!

labels 2023 kntxt

KNTXT

In order to fully understand the undeniably powerful draw that KNTXT has in the techno scene, you must first experience one of its parties.  There is a rawness and beauty to the high-BPM bass coursing through your body while everyone around you is dancing their hearts out.  Given its immense global success since its inception by Charlotte de Witte, there’s surely only up from here.

Range.

A carefully curated label created primarily for the purpose of self-releases, Ranger Trucco’s ‘range.’ is shaping up to be a work of art.  Characterized by its fanciful hand-drawn graphics and seasonal music releases, the label has both a warmth and refreshing air to it.  If you’re looking to add some tech house to your life, make sure to check ‘range.’ out!

Chaste Records

Another strictly self-release label, Chaste Records’ vision is also highly artistically driven.  Confining its cover art to black-and-white themes and tattoo-like fine-pen drawings, the overall feel of the label is hands-down gritty and sexy. You will certainly see more of its founder, breakout minimal tech start Chasewest, in 2024 – so keep your eyes peeled for new releases!

Having grown up just an earshot from Ultra Miami's venue Bayfront Park, it was next to impossible for me not to fall in love with electronic music. My love for music was evidently strong enough for me to write my college essay on festival culture and continue attending Ultra for 10+ years now. I have always had a knack for writing and the power of words, which I continued cultivating through a Philosophy degree in college. Now a law school graduate, I eventually hope to merge my passions by working in music law. I am an avid traveler and am certainly not afraid to hop on a plane for a music event. My next bucket list festivals to attend are Tomorrowland in Belgium and Sonus in Croatia. Though the list could go on forever, some of my favorite artists include Franky Wah, Mochakk, Kevin de Vries, and Eli Brown.
