T-Pain Announces First-Ever Las Vegas Residency at Two Locations
T-Pain Announces He’ll Be bringing some of his chart-toppers to The Sin City for his first Las Vegas residency.
Multi-talented artist and label founder T-Pain has been one of the biggest innovators of sound in hip-hop since he emerged in the music scene in 2004. With multiple hit records throughout the early 2000s and 2010s, T-Pain has never been afraid to test the boundaries of sound. He has collaborated with some of the biggest pop stars and dance music artists including Dillon Francis, Skrillex, and Softest Hard.
The structure of his recently announced Las Vegas residency is expected to be slightly different than the everyday performance cadence of other major stars doing the iconic residency runs. The artist behind “Buy U A Drank” is expected to perform once a month during his residency starting in February 2024. He is set to perform at Zouk Nightclub and Ayu Dayclub in Las Vegas.
Originally from Tallahassee, Florida, T-Pain hit the scene unexpectedly. Despite the wide use of vocal manipulation in music today, in 2004 T-Pain’s innovative sound was met with mixed reviews from audiences. Nevertheless, there was no argument that the song to this day makes fans feel good on and off the dancefloor.
Beyond the mechanics of his sound, T-Pain has a rap style that was all his own. Rhyming words like “mansion” with “Wisconsin” (wis-can-sin), you didn’t need to ask the DJ to know when it was a T-Pain song playing. His iconic releases are now nostalgic for those who lived to witness his come-up as a revolutionary artist in the early 2000s.
His contribution to popular music did not go unnoticed for long. T-Pain has six Grammy Awards in various Rap and R&B categories. The sports anthem “All I Do Is Win” dominated stadiums and even made its way into the White House as the entry song for former President Barack Obama during the White House’s Correspondents’ Dinner.
Today, T-Pain is still entertaining audiences with more music and an online Twitch presence that went viral in the early days of the pandemic. He is still looking to explore his sound more as the landscape for pop music shifts. His most recent single “The Introduction” in collaboration with Nappy Boy Entertainment artist Young Cash is available on all streaming platforms now.
