Dirtybird CampINN Canceled After Three Successful Editions
The beloved music festival Dirtybird CampINN has been canceled after three successful years.
Dirtybird CampINN has announced that it has been canceled after three legendary years of being the ultimate music festival experience merged with a full resort takeover. The news came to light through a post on social media by the event hosts. On behalf of Dirtybird Records, Claude VonStroke’s esteemed record label, and Homebass, a prominent music festival collective, the teams share that the Dirtybird CampINN will not return for a fourth year.
“We are so grateful for the last 3 years of this beautiful and INNcredible event we got to spend together,” the team wrote in their press release. The sad news comes shortly after Dirtybird founder Barclay Macbride Crenshaw announced his hiatus from renowned alias Claude VonStroke.
Although Barclay won’t be producing under the moniker Claude VonStroke, he announced his new initiative producing under the name Barclay Crenshaw. In a post on social media, he described this change as a new chapter in his life. Although bass has taken an essential role in his identity in house music as Claude VonStroke, Barclay is looking forward to “building something totally new as Barclay Crenshaw.”
In addition to this hiatus, Barclay announced that he has left Dirtybird Records in good hands. Regarding the cancellation of Dirtybird INN, Barclay admitted, “I got to a point where I was making like two tracks a year, I’ve turned into a festival promoter somehow and like a label runner, and now I’m not running the label anymore, I’m not doing CampINN, I am turning all my attention to the new Barclay Crenshaw project.”
Although Dirtybird CampINN will no longer be hosted, the team made sure to comfort fans with the statement that, “this isn’t goodbye forever.” There is still a substantial amount of events that DirtyBird will be hosting for the rest of 2023 and 2024.
