deadmau5 to Release Limited Edition Specialty Color Vinyl Of Iconic Albums on mau5trap
deadmau5 has announced that he is dropping limited edition vinyl of three albums, two of which have been nominated for a Grammy Award.
The house music producer has been making music earning countless awards and nominations all while topping the dance music charts. The three albums that deadmau5 has chosen to release have remained memorable in the scene and reflect his success during a decades-long career. Each specialty color vinyl complements the original album covers.
‘for lack of a better name,’ has been pressed into a translucent turquoise to match the mouse on the cover. First released in 2009, deadmau5’s fourth album earned RIAA Gold certifications in Canada and the United Kingdom and includes iconic tracks like “Ghost ‘n’ Stuff.” The vinyl has been set to be the first to ship on January 19.
‘4×4=12’ has been well-loved by deadmau5 fans with tracks like “Some Chords” and its Grammy-nominated song, “Raise Your Weapon” with Greta Svabo Bech. The album won a Juno Award and was nominated in the “Best Dance/Electronic Album” category at the Grammys. The transparent green vinyl has been confirmed to be sent on February 16.
The sixth studio album by deadmau5, ‘> album title goes here <,’ has joined the mix as the final limited edition vinyl. It topped Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart and was nominated in the same Grammys category as its 2010 predecessor. The clear, light blue vinyl has a shipping date of March 15.
This limited edition release marks the first time that ‘for lack of a better name’ and ‘> album title goes here <’ will be available on vinyl. The classic albums contain some of the Canadian DJ’s most-loved songs and are now being pressed into beautiful vinyl.
