Venture 5 emerges as a dynamic DJ and producer from the bass-loving city of Denver, Colorado bringing talent of epic proportions to the electronic scene. Shaped by his hometown’s thriving music community, Nikko Pappas draws creative inspiration from artists like Pretty Lights, Zeds Dead, Caspa, CloZee, and The Glitch Mob to craft his own sound.

While Venture 5 is mainly known for navigating the realms of wubs and dubs, Pappas decided to push his own boundaries with their most recent drum and bass EP, ‘On My Own’. The lead track, “On My Own,” is a sonic tapestry of high-energy beats and pulsating basslines, captivating listeners before plunging them into the second half of the auditory rollercoaster. The accompanying track, “Heartbeat”, strikes a harmonious balance layering infectious upbeat vibes and melodic vocals. With this EP, Venture 5 positions themself at the forefront of the slowly rising DnB movement in the United States.

Prior to this EP, Pappas unleashed a powerhouse of a single on Wubaholics with “Playing With Fire” (UKF Premiere). Reflecting on the inspiration behind the track, Pappas shared, “The motivation for ‘Playing with Fire’ is about taking risks and stepping out of your comfort zone. You might get burnt, but the experience is undeniably worth it.”

Having shed the previous moniker Opalyte, Niko Pappas reintroduces themself as Venture 5. This fresh identity marks the beginning of a new musical frontier. The hope is to use this platform to encourage fans to connect with their own authentic journeys and venture beyond the norm.
