Watch Peggy Gou Be the First Woman to Close out Ushuaia Ibiza
Peggy Gou closed out Ushuaia Ibiza and was the first-ever woman to do so.
Ushuaia Ibiza threw a closing party on Saturday, October 7, called The Vortex. It is an event that goes on all day to night at Ushuaia starting at 1 p.m. until 11 p.m. Peggy Gou played an incredible set that did not go shy on the techno to close out the night.
Peggy Gou is the first female to perform a closing set at the venue. The other artists who played at the same event were all men including DJs such as Bicep, ANOTR, Skepta, TSHA B2B Airrica, and Kilimanjaro. In a post about Peggy Gou’s performance, Ushuaia called Peggy Gou a “Global icon of club culture and fashion, and mastermind behind this summer’s anthem “It Goes Like (Na Na Na)”
Adding that: “Peggy Gou is set to electrify The Vortex stage at Ushuaia Ibiza tomorrow.” The set from Peggy Gou included a range of tech house and dark techno with a bit of her original twist. She most definitely made sure to come with the heat including some of her best drops and remixes for the performance – the crowd was going crazy the entire time.
The event was connected with Hï Ibiza as goers could continue to party after the event at Ushuaia. Hï Ibiza has been voted the number-one club in the world for 2023 by DJ Magazine. Ushuaïa is just as popular but as an outdoor club that throws amazing events during the summer months and closes down for the winter. It has seen huge artists like Adam Beyer Calvin Harris, David Guetta, and Armin Van Buren.
Peggy Gou has had an amazing year with her incredible single that completely infiltrated electronic dance music and had tons of artists playing it all summer. “It Goes Like (Na Na Na)” even just won her a Platinum Award which means that a single has sold 2 million copies.
She performed in the U.S. for Arc Music Festival in Chicago, Illinois, on September 3 and had an amazing performance on day three of the festival. She is also slated to perform a show at Club Space in Miami, Florida, on December 7 for an intimate performance.
