Dreamstate San Francisco Returns For the First Time in 5 Years

Insomniac’s trance event Dreamstate will soon be making its return to the Bay Area.

The first Dreamstate was in 2015 in San Bernardino, California, at the National Orange Show (NOS) Event Center. It then ventured to San Francisco the year after in 2016 and would have events in both cities until 2018, but it stopped in 2019 and paused completely in 2020, then returned to just San Bernadino in 2021-2022. Now, San Francisco will get its turn at Dreamstate once again for a one-day event and it’s coming in just three months – set for December 30 at the Palace of Fine Arts.

Dreamstate announced the one-day event on Instagram about a week ago and said a wonderous night waits for dreamers. It added that festivalgoers should get ready to unleash the euphoria as it makes its highly-anticipated return to the Bay Area. Along with preparing to journey back to where it all began, to our roots, as we unite under one stage, one electrifying vibe, and one epic Trance Family.

Dreamstate is a festival dedicated to trance music and calls some of the best names in the genre to its events. The Instagram post also instructed everyone to mark their calendars for the date and it promises a night where music, energy, & love converge, creating an unforgettable night of pure bliss in San Francisco. Tickets will go on sale on October 19 at 12 p.m. PT.

There have been little details released about Dreamstate’s Bay Area event, but it has listed a few of the artists that will be on the lineup. The lineup so far includes Above & Beyond, Andrew Bayer, Gareth Emery, Guiseppe Ottaviani, Jerome Isma-Ae, and Miyuki. The rest of the lineup should be released within the next month or so.

Dreamstate SoCal will also be changing up its location as its November 17-18 festival will not be in San Bernardino this year and will be at a new California location in Long Beach at the Queen Mary Waterfront. Tickets are still on sale for the two-day event and you can also get one-day passes.

Overall, Dreamstate is recognized as an emotion-felt festival that heals people through trance music. For example, this can be seen in multiple of its press photos with a person holding up a sign that says “Trance heals broken hearts.” Another photo shows the stage saying: “We’re gonna be alright” along with “In trance we trust.”
