Electronic Rock Duo, Mojave Grey, Drops Their Anticipated Single ‘Edge Of The Night’

rock meets electronic music duo, Mojave Grey, dropped their latest single ‘Edge of the Night’ this week.

You know that feeling, unshakable sometimes, that may happen on a Thursday when you know the weekend is right around the corner. It may happen at happy hour on a Friday or a spontaneous Saturday afternoon. Who knows, could be a Sunday when you know that you should call it, but that one final hour calls out and something inside tells you to stay out. That is this song.

Mojave Grey, the live music and production duo out of the desert just dropped their newest single, ‘Edge Of The Night.’ The track makes you feel a little mischievous and like breaking the rules, just a bit. Zander Bleck and Michael Pozzi make up the electronic duo who created the alter to their earlier single, ‘House of the Sun’ while at their Snow Lodge Residency in Aspen, Colorado.

Countering the light-hearted elation of their earlier single, ‘House of the Sun,’ their newest release, ‘Edge Of The Night’ brings out a moodier side from the duo. The synth in their new track is mellow and almost intoxicating to the listener. With a punchy bassline that is almost intoxicating, it works to create excited chaos in the sound. Intoxication and chaos, hmm, sounds like a good night to me,

“Take a chance on a crazy dream,” is the moment just before the sun dips down and you know you’re in for a night or rather, an experience. Residing in Joshua Tree Mojave Grey, took the time to speak about their time in Aspen and the musical construction of their new track.

“We were so inspired during this time, living and performing 8,000 feet up, but most evenings were spent at our hotel writing. We set up a makeshift studio in the living room area where we could write and record our ideas before immediately going to perform them live for an audience. ‘Edge of the Night’ was a crowd favorite from the very first time we played it, and it still is. There is a universal appeal to this piece. It’s about trusting yourself and the journey, and never losing sight of the light, even when times are difficult.”

The Exron team heard ‘Edge Of The Night’ on a spontaneous and some may say, delightfully chaotic Friday night earlier this month on a roof in the East Village, NYC. It put a spin in our step, and a little bit of a fire in our souls to have an evening dedicated to memories, and that we did. Just because the night’s forecast is unclear doesn’t mean it is a wash, maybe it’s just positively unknown.

Hey! I'm Shiv! Music is the greatest part of my life, I remember discovering dubstep when I was 15/16 and my entire life was altered - robot noises?? I needed MORE! Now, I live in NYC and have seen over 60 artists of all genres; my favorites being Odesza, Subtronics, Rezz, Griz, Zeds Dead, John Summit and Kaskade. I am an enjoyer of music and will try everything once, I do not discriminate - there is beauty in all genres (minus country). You can usually find me in a warehouse at 4AM because I am nocturnal and will quite literally never say no to a show.
