Freaky Deaky Portland: What To Know Before You Go

Here is everything you need to know before attending Freaky Deaky Portland 2023.

Freaky Deaky Portland is a dance music festival happening this upcoming Halloween weekend at the Portland Expo Center in Portland, Oregon. The two-day bizarre extravaganza will take place on October 27th and 28th.

With a stacked roster of artists including headliners Rezz and Kaskade, the festival is sure to be remarkable. The Freaky Deaky franchise originated in Houston, Texas as a celebration of electronic dance music over Halloween weekend. Since then, the festival has spread its routes to other locales, including Portland.

Freaky Deaky doubles as an EDM-centric Halloween party featuring carnival rides, games, costume contests, art, music, and more. With that being said, it is common for attendees to dress up in Halloween rave costumes, which tend to get more creative year after year.

For those “Freaks” (yes, that is what the festival calls their attendees) who are planning on going to Freaky Deaky Portland this year, we’ve included our favorite costumes from previous years in the slideshow below just in case you were in need of some last-minute inspiration. If you’ve saved your costume planning for the minute, don’t worry, we got you.

Tickets to the festival are still available, and you can purchase them using the link here. My favorite thing in the whole world is music and after hearing "One" by Swedish House Mafia for the first time in 2014, I was hooked on EDM. Dance music has been a large part of who I am and will always be searching for new ways to incorporate it in my life. The pure bliss that I feel from live shows is a feeling I never want to stop chasing (iykyk). Some of my favorite artists are Flume, Rüfüs Du Sol, Mindchatter, Disclosure, Dom Dolla and Fred Again.. :)
