FKJ Captivates The Brooklyn Mirage with a Two-Night Run

Instrumental electronic genius FKJ brought his worldwide tour to The Brooklyn Mirage for a successful two-night run.

FKJ is a one-man master of many talents. Renowned for fusing smooth jazz and electronica, he is a French producer, musician, and visionary artist in the midst of a worldwide tour. On October 3rd and 4th, the high-in-demand performer made his way to The Brooklyn Mirage leaving fans mesmerized and calling for an encore on both nights.

After quickly selling out the original October 3rd date, FKJ added a second show at The Brooklyn Mirage that also packed the massive venue. In short, the two-night run was an enchanting serenade of his ethereal discography. Coupled with The Brooklyn Mirage’s incredible LED wall, FKJ delivered an immersive experience rooted in celebrating the intimacy of nature.

Immediately, FKJ broke out his signature saxophone and began the evening with “Us,” a track from his newest 2022 studio album  ‘V I N C E N T.’ With the LP being a spotlight of his performance, FKJ also played the beautiful piano-forward “Way Out,” and the soulful “Different Masks for Different Days,” which needs no lyrics to convey its emotional depth.

However, FKJ did not hold out on the classics. From his most popular “Tadow” featuring Masego and his 2019 hit “Ylang Ylang,” he played a bit of everything. Plus a handful of songs from his first self-titled LP ‘French Kiwi Juice’ like “Go Back Home” and “Vibin’ Out” featuring ((( O ))). Not to mention, both nights were treated to his unreleased song “Red Flowers,” which can be found on Soundcloud below:

Well-balanced in all aspects, FKJ is set apart for seamlessly looping live instruments with electronic elements. His extensive setup includes a saxophone, electric guitar, keyboard, synthesizers, a turntable, and more. Upon the release of ‘V I N C E N T’ last year, FKJ embarked on an album tour that stopped at Avant Gardner’s Great Hall. This time around, his Brooklyn Mirage debut was enhanced by the venue’s iconic production.

With just a few stops left on the U.S. leg of his tour, FKJ has been going nonstop. Prior to The Brooklyn Mirage, the French producer and musician hit Portola Festival in San Francisco and Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater. Now, he’s headed to Austin City Limits and several Texas dates before taking on a handful of shows in Mexico and South America. Unparalleled to any other artist, seeing FKJ’s genius person is an opportunity that can’t be missed, especially at such a prominent venue like The Brooklyn Mirage.
