Attendees claim Lost Lands stages intentionally included occult symbolism in new stage design.

Lost Lands Festival wrapped its sixth year and many are hailing it as the most successful edition to date. Dubbed the “Superbowl of Dubstep,” Excision’s event brings hundreds of artists to Legend Valley in Thornville, Ohio to showcase their most jaw-dropping beats.

Aside from the allure of a bass music haven, the Lost Lands is known for its larger-than-life dinosaur sculptures around the festival grounds. This year featured four stages: The Prehistoric Stage, Wompy Woods, Subsidia Stage, and the Forest Stage.

While the festival’s stages undergo a transformation each year, the main stage at this year’s edition stood out as the most unique yet. In the past, the stage would be a variation of massive LED screens but this year’s design included outlines of two massive pterodactyls fitting right in with the festival’s prehistoric theme. However, not all festival-goers were equally impressed by the stage design.

Following the festival’s conclusion, people turned to social media to express their distaste with what they perceived as the inclusion of an “all-seeing eye” in the stage’s design. Some comments even went as far as calling it “evil,” as if they thought they were being spied on or manipulated.

One X user wrote, “The stage design is literally the Freemason symbol. She has a point. It’s not about conservatism or liberalism, it’s good vs evil.” While these comments stirred some controversy, these conspiracy theorists were met with an equal amount of critics who argued just how preposterous the idea is. Another person clapped back and said, “It’s just ART… it’s not even that deep.”

Some see it as a source of subliminal messaging or even brainwashing, while others perceive it simply as an element of artistic design. While the interpretation of symbolism can vary from person to person, suggesting that the intention behind the Lost Lands stage design was malicious is up for discussion.
