LP Giobbi Releases Imprint ‘Yes Yes Yes’ Alongside Defected Records
Piano House Queen, LP Giobbi, releases First imprint, ‘Yes Yes Yes,’ on the Defected Records Family of Labels.
Radiating sunshine and joy incarnate, LP Giobbi is releasing her first imprint with Defected Records! Titled ‘Yes Yes Yes,’ after her experiences as a kid at an Oregon Fair with her parents, who are known deadheads. LP Giobbi is also a noted deadhead having pioneered the genre of deadhouse.
LP Giobbi writes, “I grew up going to this hippie festival in Oregon called the Oregon Country Fair. My parents started going in their 20s and I have never missed it since the womb. It’s my favorite place on earth because it leans into weirdness, joy, and mind-opening experiences. The first thing you see when you walk on site is a sign that just says, ‘Yes Yes Yes’ and it makes me smile ear to ear every single year.”
Debuting her new venture on September 29th, ‘Time Expands,” on ‘Yes Yes Yes,” which features a deep bassline and the element of lo-fi synths that pulsate through the beat married with LP Giobbi’s signature groove. LP Giobbi is hot right now, with Ibiza performances, a new album “Light Places”, and heading a non-profit organization Femme House. Femme House aims to more women involved in music, a predominately male-run industry.
In addition to the imprint drop, LP Giobbi is also hosting after-parties (afters?) across the West Coast and Midwest with stops in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Denver, Toronto, and Chicago in partnership with her Light Places tour. Her goal is to continue to bring the open-minded motto across the states and Canada and more importantly to grace every dance floor.
You can pre-save ‘Time Expands,” here which features for the first time, LP Giobbi’s own vocals. “The whole song came to me pretty quickly all at once and I thought it would be so fun to have a weird psychedelic message floating over the dancefloor and the repetitive groove. This song is made for weirdos on an open-minded dancefloor, similar to one you might find at the Oregon Country Fair, and it made me want to have a separate outlet to release these kinds of tunes thus giving birth to Yes Yes Yes.”
The single drops on September 29th. We cannot WAIT!
