Armada Music Reveals Official Partnership with Amsterdam Airport Schiphol for 360-Degree DJ Sets from Watchtowers
To celebrate the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE) and the 20th anniversary of Armada Music, the label and Schiphol Airport are teaming up to host the first electronic music set from airport watchtowers.
On October 18, the first ‘Armada In The Mix’ will be live streamed with hour-long sets from longtime techno and trance producers, Joris Woorn and Ferry Corsten. The two are playing on Amsterdam Airport Schiphol’s 360-degree watchtower, providing an incredible setting for a performance.
The CEO and co-founder of Armada Music, Maykel Piron, said, “It’s not every day that our artists get the opportunity to perform in one of the world’s most famous airports, and what better way to commence our biggest ADE program to date!” Arthur Reijnhart, the director of commercial at Schiphol Airport, bounced off of Piron’s comment.
He said, “It’s fantastic to see the coming together of two iconic Dutch brands. For many fans and artists, Schiphol is the gateway to ADE. The tower where Armada Music’s ADE kick-off is taking place provides an iconic backdrop.”
The label is also hosting a competition, giving six fans the opportunity to watch a set on the watchtower. For a chance to win two tickets to Joris Voorn or Ferry Corsten at Schiphol Airport, click here and here.
The ‘Armada Electronic Elements’ showcase is also scheduled for this year’s ADE. On October 19, Lagerwal is welcoming Enamour, Lufthaus, Maxim Lany, Yotto, and Yulia Niko. ‘Armada University’ will continue the programming at ADE Lab with Maxim Lany, Carly Wilford, and Armin van Buuren, followed by Eelke Kleijn and Enamour.
The final night of ADE includes ‘Armada Invites’ with Carly Wilford, Kryder, Marco Lys, and Matt Giy at the Armada Music HQ. As we wait for the Amsterdam Dance Event to begin, enter the competition and mark your calendar for the ‘Armada In The Mix’ livestream on October 18.
