Defected Records Signs Partnership with Beatport’s LabelRadar to Empower Emerging Artists
Iconic house music label Defected Records signs a new partnership to help shine a light on new artists.
Defected Records signs a new partnership with LabelRadar, the demo submission platform within The Beatport Group’s Music Services division. The goal of LabelRadar is that they streamline the demo submission process and democratize access to key decision-makers in the music industry.
This is the first time Defected Records has welcomed demo submissions so openly. Aspiring artists now have the opportunity to submit their tracks not only to Defected Records but also to its many sub-labels, such as D4 D4NCE, DFTD, Glitterbox, Big Love, Soulfuric, Nu Groove, Classic, 4TTF, DVINE Sounds, Stay True Sounds, and The Remedy Project.
Ed Brew, the co-founder of LabelRadar, acknowledges the multifaceted impact of Defected. “Defected Records is one of the most respected and iconic labels in electronic music,” Brew states. “In addition to releasing some of the most celebrated tracks in electronic music, their achievements in philanthropy are a shining example of what our industry is capable of.”
Wez Saunders, CEO and owner of Defected Records also commented, “Having worked with developing acts for nearly two decades, finding and nurturing new talent is high on my agenda.” He continued by saying that, “with any record label, increasing their clients and bringing new talent to the table is the best way to move forward in an industry that is constantly expanding.”
Defected Records has solidified its position as a cornerstone in the international house music community. Through the years, they’ve discovered many artists like Jamie Jones, John Summit, Hannah Wants, Masters at Work, CamelPhat, MK, Purple Disco Machine, Riva Starr, and many more.
With the signing of this new deal happening this past week, the record label is already taking submissions for new demos. If you’d like to submit a demo of your own, follow this link and the instructions provided on the webpage.
