Lost Lands Faces Backlash for Booking TVBOO on Mainstage After “Offensive” Comments
TVBOO is still under fire for his “offensive” remarks as his upcoming appearance at Lost Lands triggered backlash on social media.
DJ, dubstep producer, and stand-up comedian TVBOO is set to play on the mainstage at Lost Lands festival this month but his “offensive” remarks made previously have not been forgotten. Many have taken to social media to show their disapproval of booking the DJ, who will appear on the festival’s Prehistoric Stage among other top-tier artists like ARMNHMR, Champagne Drip, Svdden Death, Peekaboo, Blanke, and more.
Although the DJ has previously issued a public apology over the “racist” and “transphobic” comments made on his TVLKS with TVBOO following that, it appears that some members of the public are not ready to move past the incident. Many outraged fans took to Twitter to express their desire to have TVBOO replaced at the upcoming festival. User @planet_sprout posted “kick t*vboo and replace w Crankdat” as many others followed to agree and support the same sentiment.
Taking place on September 22-24 at Legend Valley, Ohio, Lost Lands unveiled their highly anticipated lineup yesterday to tease the fans on social media. They wrote in the caption, “Get ready for massive amounts of Bass!” and the post garnered many likes and comments from the fans who were eagerly awaiting to see their favorite artists perform live.
Despite the ongoing backlash and criticism surrounding the decision to book TVBOO for the festival, there is still a significant level of excitement and anticipation among attendees. Artists like Benda and Tape B also added to the overall buzz and enthusiasm with comments like “CAN’T WAIT!” and “LETS GOOOO!”
While Lost Lands has yet to respond to the backlash surrounding TVBOO’s appearance at the festival, the fans can still expect to look forward to what the festival has to offer with its promise of “the heaviest 3 days of bass music you have ever experienced” to close out the summer season.
