Shaq Teaches Bobbi Althoff How to Headbang on The Really Good Podcast

Shaq taught the TikTok Star (Now POdcaster) Bobbi Althoff the art of headbanging on last week’s really good Podcast.

Last week Shaq taught the podcaster, Bobbi Althoff how to headbang on her podcast, The Really Good Podcast. Shaq, the talented headbanger and dubstep DJ offered some coaching skills for the perfect headbang.

Shaq says you have to grit your teeth, you can’t look happy when headbanging, true. Doesn’t matter how nasty the drop is, you must look tough and gritty. No smiles here!

Shaq even gave Bobbi a bassline to practice with. BOMM BOMM SHHH, repeat. He should consider acapella dubstep, he may be onto something. Who said dubstep doesn’t have lyrics?

Bobbi Althoff is known for being deadpan, dry, and not showing any emotion during her interviews that border on uncomfortably but are quite funny at the same time. Bobbi couldn’t stop smiling and told Shaq he looked like a little bunny gritting his teeth. Shaq, standing at over 7 feet is hard to picture as a bunny, the man is massive. He said he was a “mad bunny,” we agreed after catching his set at the Brooklyn Mirage last month.

Shaq also noted that it’s rough and tough. Shaq, also known as DJ Diesel, loves watching headbangers in the crowd making their stankiest bass faces at him. Bobbi was confused and bewildered, which in understandable dubstep is inherently weird. That’s why we love it.

Shaq, a master of all trades and the king of side hustles released his debut album last month, Gorilla Warfare. Gorilla Warfare debuted his new tracks with features with Jessica Audiffred, Haritage, Crankdat, and Kompany. Not only did Shaq just drop one of the heavier dubstep albums of the year, but last weekend was the first Shaq’s Bass Allstars hosted in Texas as the largest bass event in the state yet.

One of Shaq’s biggest accomplishments may have been truly stumping Bobbi Althoff, unseen in her interviews with other celebrities such as Drake, Lil Yachty, and Mark Cuban. Typically she is able to mess with the interviewee, but not here. Our bass king gave her a run for her money – hopefully, she can improve her headbang though, it needs less smile and more teeth!

Check out Gorilla Warfare below and indulge in some dubstep. To quote the basketball legend and dubstep megastar, “It is the roughest form of EDM.”

Hey! I'm Shiv! Music is the greatest part of my life, I remember discovering dubstep when I was 15/16 and my entire life was altered - robot noises?? I needed MORE! Now, I live in NYC and have seen over 60 artists of all genres; my favorites being Odesza, Subtronics, Rezz, Griz, Zeds Dead, John Summit and Kaskade. I am an enjoyer of music and will try everything once, I do not discriminate - there is beauty in all genres (minus country). You can usually find me in a warehouse at 4AM because I am nocturnal and will quite literally never say no to a show.

What's your reaction?
