Aly & Fila Announce Trance Show at Egyptian Pyramids After 6-Year Wait
Egyptian trance duo Aly & Fila will be bringing back the Future Sound of Egypt event at The Great Pyramids of Giza after a 6-year hiatus.
Declared as “the homecoming,” Future Sound of Egypt 800’s resurgence will take place on September 15. Aly & Fila will be returning to the Great Pyramids exactly 6 years to the day, as their last event was hosted on September 15th, 2017. This time, the duo will headline the show, revealing they have been “working for 6 years to return to this very unique location.”
Organized by Nacelle, the night includes a very special roster of supporting DJs, including UK legends Above & Beyond who will be making their Clairo debut. The event will also feature Egyptian natives who have advertised dance music in Egypt throughout the years.
The Egyptian talent includes performances by Omar Sherif, a b2b with Ahmed Romel and Phillippe El Sisi, and a special set from UV Music co-owner Paul Thomas. Fadi Wasset Naguid, who makes up one-half of the renowned group, will also be performing under his alias Das Pharaoh, for a debut solo techno performance at the monumental site.
The last time Aly & Fila hosted this event at the Pyramids was in 2017 with Future Sound of Egypt 500. This spectacular included a headline performance by no other than dance music mogul Armin van Burren. This year’s edition “promises to be a magical exploration of Egypt’s quietly steller trance community.”
This celebration of trance follows momentous trends of iconic DJs performing dance music at the historical pyramids. Most notably, high-profile artists like Carl Cox and Kygo have hosted their own events at this site bringing in thousands of people to unite at the ancient scenery.
