Marshmello Teases New Riddim Album
Before the return of the ‘Joytime’ album series, Marshmello teases a new riddim album is on the horizon.
Marshmello teases on X that fans can expect a new Riddim album before ‘Joytime IV’, causing fans to freak out in excitement. Riddim albums are typically ones of dubstep known for their use of repetitive and minimal musical arrangements.
One fan replied to the announcement with a screenshot of a now-deleted tweet from the artist where he stated back in September 2022 how “Joytime IV is done”. The general consensus of the announcement has left fans very excited about new music, but still anticipating the next installment in Joytime.
Marshmello has had a very busy summer touring through the world and performing at different clubs and festivals. With his next stop being in Las Vegas on August 26th, the artist will have many shows throughout the states in September before slowing down a little for the last quarter of the year.
Even though he will be slowing down touring-wise for the remainder of the year, that hasn’t stopped him from continuously releasing music with different artists. Consistently through 2023, the iconic music producer has released a string of singles and remixes with his latest being “Tempo” with fellow musician Young Miko.
The track is fully rapped in Spanish by Young Miko and goes over a trap, rhythmic beat produced by Marshmello. The two made a music video for it that’s available to watch on YouTube now where the Puerto Rican artist raps on a basketball court.
It’s unknown if any of the singles this year will be on this Riddim album or when it is even expected to be released. But fans haven’t had a full studio album from the artist in over two years, so the demand for a new Marshmello project is very high. We are hoping that it will drop before the end of the year once his touring schedule frees up a bit.
