Kasbo Releases First Solo Single in 3 Years with “The Way You Had Me”

Multifaceted electronic producer Kasbo marks the start of a new journey in his musical career following his hiatus.

Swedish-bred electronic producer Carl Grasbo, better known by his stage name Kasbo, has come a long way with his artistry since his last music release and massive collaboration with Louis The Child and EVAN GIA in 2022. Through this intentional period of isolation last year, the artist allowed his creativity to sit still to guide his direction, passion, and place for electronic music.

Kasbo further explains: “‘The Way You Had Me’ marked a major turning point for me creatively. I’d been struggling for months, if not years, to rediscover my place in the new and quickly changing electronic music landscape. This song felt like the beginning of me realizing that direction – covering new ground while still creating something that felt true to myself.”

Kasbo explains that this new single is about coming to terms with a past partner moving on so quickly. The melodic fever dream’s minimal tune will hypnotize you into a rose-colored space of deep grief. This song’s lyrics capture the overwhelming emotion of doubt whether the relationship you had with someone was ever real when they seem to have forgotten and move on so quickly.
