Cal State Fullerton Student Brutally Attacked After HARD Summer Festival
A nursing student from Cal State was attacked and sustained severe injuries after making his way home from Hard Summer Festival.
A Cal State Fullerton student is the latest victim of an attack after attending Hard Summer Festival in Los Angeles the past week. According to the news report, the nursing student named Brandon was making his way back to his parked vehicle when the tragic incident happened.
He shared that his recollection of the moment remains fragmented. “All I remember was walking, being on the floor, blood, and then the ambulance.” He further added that the attack was “multiple people punching and kicking him in the face while on the ground.” After the assailants fled the scene, he proceeded to wander through the downtown streets where compassionate bystanders promptly alerted the police. He was then taken to the hospital for medical attention. The aftermath of the attack left the student with severe injuries, including deep lacerations, concussions, and a broken tooth.
With the additional cost stemming from hospital bills and dental treatments which are not covered by any health insurance, the tragedy left Brandon in a place of financial distress, and a GoFundMe was set up to alleviate his burden. As the underlying motive behind the attack remains unknown, his family was relieved that he returned home with no life-threatening injuries.
With the increasing frequency of attacks and unfortunate incidents at music festivals, it is crucial for all attendees to prioritize safety and exercise vigilance. While festivals traditionally embody a space of enjoyment and unity, these tragedies underscore the importance of maintaining caution and awareness within such environments. Only when we can collectively foster an environment of respect, awareness, and care would such incidents be potentially mitigated.
If you are attending a festival or music concert, be sure to stay cautious of your surroundings, respect each other’s boundaries, and be proactive in safeguarding your well-being.
