Fred Again.. Asks Fans to Vote on Three Unreleased Tracks
Fred Again.. shares snippets to Instagram of unreleased music.
Earlier this year, Exron Music reported that British DJ, musician, producer, singer, and songwriter Fred Again.. shared little song selection blurbs to social media. The selections were simply screen recordings of archival ostensibly saved to Fred’s phone, yet each unreleased track featured flawless production. In the caption, Fred asked fans to rate the selection with, “[Okay] hello July! Let’s go [again]! I’m working on something. [One], [two], or [three]?” The post garnered nearly a quarter of a million likes and thousands of comments as fans chimed in, gushing over their favorites.
Almost a month after his original post, Fred Again.. released yet another trifecta, a mini compilation to Instagram. Similarly to the first, he asked fans to rate the content. “[One]… or [two]… or [three]? Thank you so much for these btw, they give me so much… clarity and fuel and inspiration and stuff. The third track is British rap. ‘Close my eyes and can’t stop dreaming, tryin’ to dodge my demons.’ It’s super underground grunge rave.”
Fred Again.. became an internet sensation post his viral performance pop-up with Skrillex in New York City’s Times Square, however, he’s been grinding in the music industry long before his rise to fame. In 2018, Fred co-wrote George Ezra’s number-one hit “Shotgun.” In the same year, Fred remained busy, co-writing “Solo” by Clean Bandit and Demi Lovato, as well as Rita Ora’s “Let Me Love Me.” In 2019, Fred debuted possibly his most impressive collaboration, Ed Sheeran’s ‘No. 6 Collaborations Project,’ the British popstar’s fourth studio album.
An accumulation of his steamrolling success, Fred Again.. took home Producer of the Year at the 2020 Brit Awards. As the youngest artist to ever secure that title, Fred Again.. was turning heads and making waves by creating unique, expertly crafted productions.
