Pretty Lights Reveals New Album Tracks to be Debuted on Upcoming Tour
after his long-awaited return, Pretty Lights will be dropping a new album in alignment with his upcoming tour.
On Wednesday, rumors of Pretty Lights new album spanned social media creating a massive buzz. Stirring up the hype was Michal Menert, former member and producer for Pretty Lights’ inaugural album, “Taking Up Your Precious Time.” Although Menert had embarked on a solo career after the first album – he has been an integral part of the Pretty Lights brand over the years.
Menert posted a message on his social media revealing what Pretty Lights lead man Derek Vincent Smith and Menert have in store for fans. He revealed that they have “dozens of songs prepared. New material to bless y’all with. 3 nights no repeats.”
Fans quickly uncovered Menert was alluding to Pretty Lights’ 3-day camping festival on November 3-5. The festival will take place at The Caverns Amphitheater and will be Pretty Lights return to festival curation after many years. Not only will Smith be playing all three days, but Menert will also have his own dedicated show Saturday of the festival.
In relation to the mystery of the material that will drop, fans asked more about this surprise in the comments. Menert disclosed to fans saying, “No set will be the same. Each weekend will have a body of songs but each stop has unique themes and pieces saved specifically for that place.” It’s been nearly 6 years since Pretty Lights released new materials and with one week away from his long-awaited comeback tour, fans are in for a treat.
Pretty Lights quickly approaching tour, the Soundship Spacesytem Tour, will be nothing short of out-of-this-world. The tour is stopping at iconic US venues in the fall including the famous Brooklyn Mirage for a weekend takeover. Since the announcement of the tour in April, it has become one of the most anticipated events of the year.
