Common Creation returns with new spooky summer EP to keep fans dancing
In a swirl of electronic funk and hip-hop, DJ and guitarist Common Creation returns with his new spooky summer EP ‘Sunset Seance’. Released on July 14th, the four-track EP is finally here for fans to rock to.
Debuting his first track back in 2018, this most recent project is his most recent release with the WAKAAN label. Through a string of singles and EP releases over the last few years, Common Creation has been able to connect with fans with this original music.
In this new release, Common Creation brings his true funk and left field sounds together for a one of a kind musical journey. In regards to his new music, the artist himself expressed gratitude to fans who have supported him over the last few years. In regards to the EP, he states that for himself, “’Sunset Seance’ is a collection of tunes that I first started working on when I was preparing to perform at Hampton Colosseum back in 2021. I had never dreamt of making it to such a stage and I knew I needed some absolute weapons to make the set special.”
Looking back on his career, he reminisces on his career and the EP by saying how “It’s been a long road since and I’ve been sitting on these sweet, spooky, heavy, haunting tracks for some time. To finally release this EP is cathartic. I can’t help but to look back on the last few years and see how far this project has come. In a lot of ways this EP feels like the end of one era of my career and the beginning of the next chapter.” As an appreciation for the continued support, Common Creation said that he will be “Dedicating this [EP] to everyone who has supported me so far, thank you for listening.”
A day after the release, Common Creation performed at Bang Back Pinball Lounge in Columbia, SC. Here he performed with a few other artists like SLZRD, Milky Haze, M3RMADE, Blizzard, and McLoud. This event was an EP release party that allowed fans to dance through the night to new music and with locally supported artists.
The next time Common Creation will be performing is October 27th at Mission Ballroom in Denver, CO. Tickets to see him alongside Tripp St., Mad Zach, SULLY, and Xotix are now available to purchase here. If you’d like to listen to ‘Sunset Seance’, the songs are now available at your streaming service of preference.
