Slander Reveals Brand New Audio Visual Show Experience and North America Tour Dates
Slander announces their Chimera Tour, a brand new audio-visual experience set to take North America in 2023.
Slander is taking the tail end of 2023 by storm. On July 18, the American duo Derek Andersen and Scott Land announced their new Chimera Tour. Taking over North America with an immersive audio-visual experience that’s been in the making for over 2 years, Slander reveals never before seen production and an incredible lineup of opening artists.
What began as Slander’s A Better World event at the LA Convention Center has transformed into the Chimera Tour. Originally, the single-night show was set for August 25. It quickly sold out and was extended for a second night. Shortly after, Slander announced that these dates are actually leading off the debut of their audio-visual experience. Stopping at legendary venues including the Tacoma Dome, The Brooklyn Mirage, and Red Rocks Amphitheater, the Chimera Tour still has three locations yet to be announced and will finish on December 2 at The Armory in Minneapolis.
Slander stacked their all-new immersive show with an extensive list of opening acts. The lineup features A Hundred Drums, Kill The Noise, Riot, Saka, Space Laces, Trivecta, Zomboy, and many more. A display of diversity, this selection of openers is hinting at what fans can expect to hear at Slander’s Chimera Tour.
As excitement builds on social media, one fan on Twitter comments, “I can’t physically process how I’m going to see slander AND Trivecta at the same NIGHT at RED ROCKS! At least I have a few months to get my body prepared.” Another fan responds, “CHICAGO BABY FINALLLLLLY SO EXCITED! Two nights at the Aragon lfg.”
Known for marrying euphoric melodies and trap-inspired beats, Slander is a household name for their iconic style. In 2016, the American duo blew up after releasing a single collaboration with NGHTMRE, “Gud Vibrations.” The track immediately became an electronic music anthem and took on a life of its own. This propelled them into stardom and they haven’t stopped since.
Now, Slander is setting the tone for the future with audio-visual components and enhanced production. With their first LP “Thrive,” the 2023 single “Wish I Could Forget” featuring blackbear and Bring Me The Horizon, and more in their arsenal, Slander is preparing to sling a variety of sounds at the Chimera Tour.
