Chet Porter Announces Travel-Inspired Debut Album “Everything You’ve Ever Seen”
After a string of singles over the past few years, Chet Porter announces his debut album to come this Fall.
Chet Porter announces his debut album on Instagram this week after being in the industry for eight years. With a string of singles being released since 2015, fans can expect a travel-inspired album to be released this Fall.
Alongside an album announcement, Chet will be releasing a song titled “hawaii/norway” this Friday, July 14th. Known for his indie-inspired electronic music and visual components with his music, the upcoming album seems to follow this mastered skill.
On Twitter, Chet posted a tweet in which he talked more about the album saying, “Honestly there was a time where I thought I’d never get to finish this album.” He continues in the post by describing different obstacles he faced such as hard drive crashes, self-doubt, and almost giving up “like 700 times”. With this new album coming out, he describes how excited he is to share with the fans and that the “best is yet to come”.
In the announcement video for the album posted below, Chet writes, “Don’t lose this moment searching for another”. In regards to the album, the imagery between different vacations, and art drawn by the artist himself, this sentence seems to be the theme of the album.
Being known to troll his fans and make fun of them in a playful way, Chet posts on Instagram a thank you to his fans for all the love they’ve shown him on the album announcement. “Normally I’d do a stupid caption or say you guys suck ‘why don’t I have a million followers’ etc. but I’m really happy seeing everyone’s reaction to the news lol,” he writes to exude his appreciation for how reacted to the album announcement.
Before the release of Chet’s new album, he will be doing a DJ set at Elsewhere Space in August where he will be playing a few tracks off the new album. While you wait for Chet’s new single out on Friday, you can stream his most recent release following the link below.
