Life comes full circle when Odesza’s film debuts at the theater of Harrison’s first job.
ODESZA’s film debuts this past weekend at the theater where member Harrison Mills worked his very first job. Right before the premiere of the movie on July 7th, Harrison tweeted: “One of the theaters our movie is playing in is the same place I worked at for my first job. Life is wild. -H”.
The musical duo has been able to continuously elevate their career in new ways. Being able to make a film about their musical process is a way they wanted to show fans what the past decade in music has been to them.
“The Last Goodbye” film, directed by Sean Kusanagi, allows fans to witness an ODESZA live show as an immersive concert film. This cinematic experience provides a look behind the curtain into the process of creating ODESZA’s return to the touring stage with a set list of fan-favorite hits and unreleased remixes.
This film can provide fans to connect with ODESZA in a way that they haven’t been able to before through personal interviews with the band, members of the creative team, and their fans. It gives a glimpse inside how Harrison and Clay grew from small-town aspiring musicians to a three-time Grammy Award-nominated, major festival headlining icon.
While the film was supposed to be a one-night event, there was a larger demand from fans to see the movie. Due to popular demand, they are now working to add additional screenings and cities to play the film. You can continue to check the official film’s website over the coming days for updates.
Alongside the release of their new film, ODESZA is releasing a collaborative EP with Yellow House on July 21st called ‘Flaws in Our Design’. You can now listen to the first song “Heavier” from the six-song EP on any musical platform.
