EVAN GIIA Releases First-Ever Female Collab with Nostalgix in New Single “Limit”

EVAN GIIA and Nostalgix have dropped their electrifying, grunge collaboration, “Limit,” with an accompanying music video.

From the beginning to the end, “Limit” is dark and energetic and encourages embracing who you are. Based in Brooklyn, GIIA’s classically-trained vocals shine through, layered on top of a 90s-esque instrumental from Nostalgix

The grunge, y2k-inspired music video uses grainy shots and color contrasts as it follows GIIA and Nostalgix through a series of subway stations and warehouses. The video is filled with early-2000s-inspired videography and outfits, using nostalgic edits reminiscent of VHS tapes. Canadian DJ, writer, and rapper, Nostalgix, leans into deep, vibrating basslines and exhilarating beats.

“I was excited to write a song that uses my operatic sound on the pre-chorus and then drop into something heavy. ‘Limit’ is my first collab with a female producer – a goal I’ve had for years! You can feel the confidence and power in it,” EVAN GIIA said about the release.

She continued, “The message: you can do anything you set your mind to. There are no limits. We had a vision of female warriors going to battle while we wrote it.” The lyrics are powerful, backed up by commanding beats and a progressive melody. GIIA’s smooth vocals take over the hook, declaring, “Who said the sky was the limit? / Cut through the clouds to the ceiling / I am my own hero / I don’t need to be saved.”
