Camelphat Announces Second Studio Album with New Single “Hope”

British DJ duo Camelphat, composed of Dave Whelan and Mike Di Scala, has come a long way since its inception back in 2006. Over the past decade, the Liverpool duo has cultivated a laudable following by dropping dope hits and playing festivals all over the world, most notably Afterlife. And if Afterlife’s international tour weren’t enough, the duo also recently released their highly anticipated track ‘Hope’ from their 2023 Coachella set.

“[We’re dropping] our New Track with [Max Milner] ‘HOPE’,” shared Camelphat. “[This] will be track [number one] of our forthcoming 2nd album coming later this Summer. Enjoy.” The Instagram series that accompanied the announcement was replete with interactive media, videos from recent shows, and behind-the-scenes clips from studio sessions.

Sharing in the excitement, throngs of fans commented on the announcement. “YESSSSS, been waiting for this song since y’all teased it on your story. I even still have it screen-recorded!!!!! [I’ve] been listening to those 30 seconds for what feels like months… I need this one for my soul ASAP.”  Another fan commented, “I was waiting for this release since you guys played it in NYC in March.” However, the best comment was certainly, “Tomorrow I will be [in the] front row with a sign [that says] ‘Hope for Bibi.” The comment is representative of the EDM community’s support for Michael Bibi, who is currently battling an aggressive and rare form of leukemia.

Camelphat’s music, whether it be their most recent release “Hope” or their forthcoming second album, entices the listener to connect with something deeper – to get lost on the dancefloor, in the reveries of hypnotic trance music, in the unbridled energy of a rave, or in the soaring levity of hope… music is always the answer.

Heralding from sunny South Florida, I am a proud Florida Woman. In my free time, I surf the swamp, wrangle gators, open fan mail, and tend to my pets. In the wild, I'm most often spotted at immersive art spaces, step tappin' in a shadowed corner of the club, hater blockerz on, totally incognito as your resident EDM spice girl. Although I generally tout my spicy side, if there's one thing I'd love to impress upon the world, it would be this: it's not a waste to give love to those who do not deserve it – it's a gift. The world would be a better place if we gave, in kindness and in mercy, to those who need it most with no expectation in return.
