Diplo Admits Tour Can Be “Lonely” and “Chaotic” Ahead of Summer Show Series
Before his major summer series, Diplo admits tour can be a lonely road in a reflective Instagram post.
For many, people see world-renowned DJ Diplo as the life of the party and a masterclass on putting on the most lit kind of shows. But in a recent Instagram post, Diplo admits tour can be “lonely” and “chaotic” before embarking on a jampacked Summer lineup of shows.
After almost 20 years into his career and being one of the most sought-after producers with over 32 million monthly Spotify listeners, Diplo is still taking the world by storm with his innovative and creative style. Having worked with some of the biggest singers on the planet and with multiple Grammy wins under his belt, it makes sense that the superstar DJ is high in demand for concert bookings.
While fans may go to his shows and have the time of their lives, they get to go home to the comfort of their beds afterward. But for the DJ, he has to travel to the next venue for months at a time not knowing the next time he’ll be home.
“How your life feels is a lot more important than how it looks..” is how Diplo starts off his post about his upcoming Summer series. With a slideshow of videos from recent shows, he portrays how excited the audience is hearing his music live in different party settings. These videos are mostly focused on the crowds and less on Diplo, portraying for himself that these shows are “not always a party even tho it looks like” it is.
Even though he feels like touring can be “lonely”, he ends the post in a positive light that these tours always “fall into place and it makes it worth the grind”. It would make sense that somebody who has been working for almost 20 years in the industry can feel tired and anxious about what’s to come based on past experiences. But even with these issues, Diplo still manages to pull through and put on a fire show.
Besides preparing for his upcoming Summer series, Diplo recently released a collaboration with Lily Rose that was remixed by MAJK called “Sad In The Summer”. The track now is available to stream on your music service of preference.
