Louis The Child Brings Stand-Up Comedy to Brooklyn Mirage Alter-Ego Takeover
Louis The Child returns to the Brooklyn Mirage takeover featuring a surprise b2b & Comedy in Kings Hall
This summer Louis The Child returns to the Brooklyn Mirage for a multi-stage takeover on Saturday, August 19th. Robby Haldren and Freddy Kennet make up the duo, who started creating music together in 2013 after they met at a Madeon concert.
Huge names join Louis The Child at the world-renowned Brooklyn venue. Joining them on stage will be an unknown b2b with one of their favorite producer and DJs that they have been behind the decks with before. After a decade in music, the potential surprise guest list is long. The lineup also includes big names in the scene covering various genres of EDM.
Expect to see Snakehips, who just a few weeks ago released their first full-length studio album on May 5th. Joyryde, a bass DJ, will also be gracing the Brooklyn Mirage. Louis The Child has continued to evolve their sound and the new generation of their music called Alter-Ego, has had a heavy bass influence. A few other big names on the lineup are Dr. Fresch, The Knocks, and Chromebodies.
Louis The Child has a second surprise up their sleeves outside of the mystery b2b, a comedy show in Kings Hall. They are also hosting stand-up comics during their mini-festival at Mirage. They even alluded to maybe one (or two) of the members to be hopping on stage to provide the crowd with some laughs. Will it be Robby or Freddy, and what other names in comedy will be taking the mic on stage?
Louis The Child presents Alter-Ego will also feature a Black Marble set from the duo. Having debuted their Black Marble dance film last year at Mirage, where they will play a lot of music featured in the film, coming full circle. They remarked that last year’s takeover was one of their favorite nights of the year and are pumped to return to Mirage, and so are we!
Presale for this event starts May 23rd at 10 am. Sign up for early access as this is sure to sell out. You can register for presale here and tickets will be available on Dice.
