Snakehips releases genre-blending debut album, ‘never worry’ on all streaming platforms
Snakehips the duo consisting of Oliver Lee and James Carter, hailing from the UK have released their debut album after already having over 2 billion catalog streams. Their first full-length album titled ‘never worry’ was written as they split their time between London and Los Angeles over the past few years. The pair met in a Hong Kong sake bar instilling their laid-back approach to life which is evident in their music.
They blasted off to EDM stardom with their 2015 hit, “All My Friends,” turning them into a household name in the EDM & pop scene as they collaborated with Tinashe and Chance the Rapper on this chart-topping song. ‘All My Friends” went super viral as it topped the airways in the US, UK, Australia, and New Zealand to name a few.
Sheer talent along with the skills of flawless genre-blending has helped Snakehips see success with artist features of all genres on their tracks. Snakehips seamlessly merges from disco house on “Sometimes…” to deep house on “Deal With It,” and the highlight of the album, “Solitude” is a top 5 US Dance Radio hit. Oldies lovers will find their head bopping to ‘Whenever U Call,” a 2023 reboot of The Spinners’ 1972 hit, “I’ll Be Around.” Their capability to have an album that is not one genre, but rather a melody of genres as one pushes Snakehips’ ‘never worry’ over the edge as a star work of production.
