TuneCore Celebrates New Beatport Partnership During International Music Summit Ibiza
TuneCore and Beatport are partnering up to give independent electronic music artists opportunities for growth, support, and more through music distribution.
Beginning early May, TuneCore will begin distributing music to Beatport to help grow the industry and give spotlight to musicians. TuneCore is a leader in music distribution, particularly electronic music, as a self-releasing development partner for independent artists. Music industry powerhouse, Beatport, is a music platform that allows listeners to download and stream music through apps, a web store, and DJ software. A partnership between the two is an important announcement as it gives upcoming artists the opportunity to promote themselves and garner further support.
The collaboration announced at the International Music Summit have dedication to uplift rising artists. In regards to the partnership, the CEO of Beatport, Robb McDaniels, said, “As the number of music creators around the world continues to accelerate, enabling TuneCore’s customers to easily upload their music to Beatport is an important way for us to nurture new talent in the dance music space.”
Artists signing up for TuneCore’s unlimited distribution plan are able to send their music to Beatport for $7.99 per month. This gives them more opportunities to put their work in front of a wide audience. They are also allowed access to thirty-three different electronic music subgenres from independent distributors.
The exciting news does not end there. To celebrate, a talent search will begin in May for electronic music producers. Artists can send their submissions in to be analyzed and critiqued by a panel of professionals in the industry.
