Inside the Female Acts Performing at Sonic Bloom Festival 2023
Sonic Bloom Festival announces over 30 female artists on the 2023 lineup, showing strong support for women in music.
Sonic Bloom Festival is fast approaching and everyone is excited about the lineup! However, what’s really got people talking is Sonic Bloom and the incredible number of female artists who will be taking the stage. With over 30 different solo female performers, we’re thrilled to see such a remarkable representation of women in the music industry. While we’d love to spotlight every female act performing, we’ve narrowed it down to five must-see acts for Sonic Bloom.
Clozee
We are thrilled to announce that the headliner for Sonic Bloom is Clozee, an amazing electronic music producer and DJ from Toulouse, France. Clozee’s unique style blends elements of world music, downtempo, and bass music, which has gained her a dedicated following since 2013. In 2020, Clozee finally released her highly-anticipated debut album, “Neon Jungle,” featuring collaborations with artists such as Opiuo and The Kite String Tangle. Throughout the year, she also released several singles and remixes, including “Winter Is Coming” and a remix of “Breathe” by The Prodigy. You can also listen to her latest release “Microworlds” on streaming platforms. Clozee’s super-dynamic live performances, often featuring live instrumentation and visuals, compliment her music, and we cannot wait to watch her kill it on stage at Sonic Bloom!
A Hundred Drums
A Hundred Drums is a skilled DJ and producer based in the US who has managed to amass a huge following over the years with her distinct blend of ambient, downtempo, and experimental bass music. One of the things that makes A Hundred Drums stand out from other electronic music artists is her ability to effortlessly merge different influences and styles into her tracks. Whether it’s incorporating elements of hip-hop, jazz, or world music, she has a way of seamlessly blending them together in a way that feels both coherent and innovative. Fresh off her DoLab set at Coachella, she is a must-see. If you’re a lover of experimental electronic music and haven’t had the pleasure of listening to A Hundred Drums’ work, you’re definitely missing out. Be sure to make some time to watch this talented performer in action!
Hex Kitten
HexKitten is a DJ and producer originally from Denver, Colorado, who enjoys all genres of music. Her recorded mixes showcase her versatility, ranging from sultry and seductive to eclectic and experimental. In live performances, HexKitten’s sets are open format, hip hop, and influenced by Caribbean music, with a unique ear for dancehall, reggaeton, soca, and afrobeat. She has solidified her position as one of the top DJs in her city and is constantly achieving new levels of success. She is a top pick for anyone looking to experience a once-in-a-lifetime set.
Nala
Nala is a talented DJ and producer originally from Los Angeles, California. Her unique style blends elements of house, techno, and global bass music, making her a sought-after artist in the music industry. In 2019, she released her debut EP, “Sirens,” which was met with critical acclaim and praise from fans alike, featuring collaborations with a diverse range of artists. Following the success of “Sirens,” Nala has been hard at work on new music, experimenting with different sounds and styles to push the boundaries of her artistry even further. Her most recent release, “Growth,” is a testament to this, showcasing Nala’s growth as an artist and her ability to create music that is both innovative and accessible, solidifying her status as one of the most exciting and talented artists in the industry today.
Redrum
Tatiana Tindall’s love for music began from the moment she was born, thanks to her father who was a composer, a musician, and a DJ. As a child, she found joy in dance, but it wasn’t until her teenage years that she considered pursuing a career in music. Inspired by Stephen King’s “The Shining,” the Portland-based artist creates enchanting music that helps her listeners find their own inner magic. REDRUM’s otherworldly sounds include a spotlight on Subsidia’s Dawn: Vol. 2, Electric Hawk’s In Unity compilation, and her debut EP ‘Pieces Moon’ on Liquid Stranger’s SSKWAN label. She has wowed audiences at home with performances at Electric Hawk’s Harmony Virtual Music Festival and In Unity Livestream, as well as live sets at festivals like Forbidden Kingdom, Homebase, Kosmic Kingdom, and Freakfest.

Emilee Gabbard
My name is Emilee Gabbard. I currently live in sunny Orange County, CA. By day I am a project manager working in the aerospace industry, but by night a music blogger for yours truly, Exron Music! I have been writing for Exron Music for around eight months now and cannot wait to see what is to come throughout the years. At festivals and clubs, you will find me at any house and techno stage supporting my favorites Eli Brown or Dom Dolla, or belting every word to Porter Robinson tracks wherever he performs.
