Ky William Launches Andhera Records Workshop Series in Brooklyn
Brooklyn-based talent Ky William caught up with Exron Music to discuss his new workshop series, the local NYC scene, and more
Continuing his hot streak in 2023, multifaceted DJ and producer Ky William has been quite busy as of late. In addition to releasing a handful of fiery new tracks across various record labels and a packed tour schedule, Ky William also recently launched his new Andhera Records Workshop series in Brooklyn.
The past month the talented producer has been across major cities such as Las Vegas, Chicago, New Orleans, Miami, and more. Although he’s been on a heavy tour run, Ky William continues to give back to the local scene that helped launch his career. On April 15, Ky William hosted the first Andhera Records workshop in Brooklyn and invited blossoming new talent to explore creative production, mixing and mastering, artist relations, and more.
When asked what was the most rewarding part of building his own imprint, Ky William responded, “Helping people and elevating them to be the best version of themselves is what I live for.”

Elaborating on the workshop that was hosted in collaboration with Observed, “This workshop was about meeting new producers that are inspired by my work. I wanted to use this opportunity to continually build my community and give proper guidance to all these artists. Ever since I started the label I wanted to create this extension of the brand. Community building is really important and I would like to bring more proficient producers into the world and help grow the scene.”
Paving the way for aspiring producers, Ky William’s initiative in the Brooklyn scene is refreshing and admirable. The Andhera Records Workshop series promises to be a very important part of the talented producer’s accolades as he continues to rise to stardom.
With a clear passion for the Brooklyn dance music community, Ky William shared, “Hometown plays are the best. I don’t get to play in New York as much as I used to so when I do it’s like a big reunion. The hardest part of being on the road is that it does definitely get lonely. So when I can turn around and see all my friends behind me having a blast, I feed off that.”
Offering some advice to blossoming producers, Ky William shares, “Fully encompass yourself in it. Make it your everything. If you aren’t producing music, go learn about the history. If you aren’t learning about history, go meet a promoter who is throwing the events. If you aren’t out networking, get inspired by other genres of the music space.”
